General Information

Safety is our top priority; careless and inconsiderate hunters are not welcome.

Per Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission rules, all hunters should have a Florida Hunting License.

Rates

5 birds
Training package
$50
  • Birds will be available in a crate for trainer.
  • Trainer will use designated training course.
  • Additional birds are $10 each.
  • No shooting on this course except to start a dog.
11 birds
Hunting package
$100
  • Birds will be released in the field by 8:30am for morning hunts and by 1:00pm for afternoon hunts.
  • Minimum of two birds per drop, no custom drops.
  • Additional birds are $10 each.
18 birds
Hunting package
$150
  • Birds will be released in the field by 8:30am for morning hunts and by 1:00pm for afternoon hunts.
  • Minimum of two birds per drop, no custom drops.
  • Additional birds are $8 each.

Payable in cash or check in advance of hunt. No credit cards accepted.

Twenty four hour confirmation required via text, call, or email required; or birds will not be dropped.

Policies

  • An annual liability waiver must be signed by all hunters and guests prior to entering the field.
  • Only two shooters per hunt, others may accompany.
  • Everyone on the hunting course must have some orange attire (hat, vest, or shirt)
  • Hunters are asked to pick up spent shells and no littering please.
  • No target practicing on courses including clay shooting, or side arms discharged.
  • Bird shot only 7 1/2, 8 or 9 shot low brass
  • Preferred gauge 20 or smaller
  • No bird processing
  • No hunting before 8:30am for morning hunts, 1:00pm for afternoon hunts. Everyone must vacate field by 11:30am for morning hunts and 4:00pm for afternoon hunts.

Location

SSJ Farm Quail Hunting Preserve is located in northeast Florida just 3 miles south of Georgia line. From Jacksonville, travel north on US-1 25 miles from I-295. Turn east on Conner Cut-off and travel approximately 1/2 mile to Dog Gone Trail. Turn south on Dog Gone Trail
